Tomball & Spring, Texas

After Thanksgiving we used the downtime to do some exploring. After lunch with my sister in Tomball, we stopped to check out the Tomball Depot on the trip back home. It was, unfortunately, closed for the day. But, we got to see the T&BV caboose and a couple of Christmas Trees.

The following day we took a bike ride on the new section of the Spring Creek Greenway. I figured it got pretty close to where the UP crosses spring Creek. This area was previously accessible only by rail or kayak/canoe. I was pleasantly surprised to discover the trail crosses under the track about 100 yards from the creek and it's easily accessible. So, we stopped for a bit to throw rocks in the creek and UP was kind enough to send a couple of north bounds by while we were there.
