Rock Tunnel, Colorado

Rock Tunnel (officially known as Toltec Tunnel #2) is one of only two tunnels on the entire Rio Grande Narrow Gauge system. Fortunately, along with Mud Tunnel, both survive today.

Located at MP 315.2, the tunnel is 366 feet long and was constructed in 1880 during the lines initial construction to Durango and Silverton.
