Thanks to Steven Dickey, we have another picture of a Beautiful Vintage Aircraft doing what it does best.... flying thru the Air at full speed.

Sunday at Osier, Opening weekend... Locomotive 488 came into osier on it's first revenue run with Train 2.

Doesn't 488 look sharp.

Locomotive 488 has been doing great, steams well and rides well.

Its early morning, 488 is ready to come out of the shop, but I had to wait a few minutes. The Track Crew was doing Maintenance on Track One...

In the picture you can see Julian and Joseph working on exposing Ties to check the spikes and such...

Its Monday and Soni and I have 488 on Train 215...

Locomotive 488 takes water from the plug at Sublette and I take a quick moment to capture a picture for all of you out in Internet Land.

Now here is a few shots for my Friend Dean... Locomotive 488 and Caboose 0306...

That evening we hooked up Caboose 0306 and tied her into the Train right behind the Parlor for a Deadhead run to Antonito.

Caboose 0306 hasn't been lettered yet, but I think it looks pretty sharp...

Caboose 0306 and Locomotive 488.

Caboose 0306 ran Deadhead or empty to Antonito and returned Wednesday on Train 215 with FRA Officials... they had a great time and I was very honored to meet them.

Ain't that a great shot, I thought my Buddy Dean would enjoy these shots.

The cars are part of the collection at our Connecticut Antique Machinery Association. We made removable, 3-piece covers to keep winter snow out of the cars. Only one of the cars has received any work to the car bodies; both need new floors to replace patches on top of patches. The one car which has been painted took about 40 pallons of linseed oil and paint!

Me and my Friend Bruce Edgerton were Joking about these Cars, I thought they may have been a version of a Narrow Gauge Covered Hopper, Ha Ha!!!, thanks Bruce for the Photos....

I would like to thank my Friend David Dickey for these Photo's, They were taken on Opening Day...

Here is me.. doing my thing on 484...

It is very rare for me to see many photos of myself, so I must say I appreciate these photos very much....

Thanks to David and His Brother Steven for the Photos they have shared with the Website... Steven has sent me alot of Beautiful Picture's of Old Restored Aircraft... and those will also be on the site.

And there I go on 484 on Opening Day. Thanks Guys.

I viewer of the website Craig Kumler wanted to see some new picture's on the progress of the Spur Track to Antonito Car Shop, well the Crew is still working on it, in between regular assignments.,. they will soon have the Work Track Spur behind Fort Knox Connected into the rest of the Track work.

Well its June 7th and we have run our first Helper of the Year, Jeff Stebbins and I were on the Road Locomotive 484 and Marvin and Steve Montano were on Helper 488, in these picture's Helper 488 is backing up to the road Locomotive after 484 pulled the Train across Lobato Trestle.

And now another few Picture's from John Sporseen, another view of the Beautiful Work on restored Ilwaco Railroad & Navigation Co Railroad Passenger Car.

Take a look at this Sign, it explains itself. Thanks John for the Picture's.

Engineer Mike Nichols... what a Gentleman of a Guy...

Coming into Durango and a view of the Bridge...

The Animas flows underneath our rails.

A detail of the Bridge and coupler.

A view of the Durango Yards.

She's a beauty and soon 0579 will come into service and I will be there to get the shots...

Its Tuesday Morning and we are in Chama, Locomotive 488 and 484 will go up the Hill today with Train 216.

Marvin and Steve were in the 488 and I was Firing for Jeff Stebbins.

Locomotive 488 has been running Great.

And today was a great run for me, the 484 steamed like a champ.

Its good to have 3 Locomotive's up under Steam.

A look at Locomotive 488's nose.

A view from 488's tender of 484's nose.

Well its Friday Morning and Rio Grande Goose Number 5 is in Antonito and ready to roll....

I love this Machine and to see it right in front of me in my hometown is a Dream come true...

She's a Beauty,

Now why is the Goose in Antonito... well.....

Parked right next to the Commission Office just off the Highway and next to Antonito Depot are Four Private railcars....

Onboard are the Passengers who rode the these Private Railcars over the La Veta Pass route into Alamosa and eventually into Antonito, where they spent two nights onboard their railcars.

It was a very rare visit to have these cars here and to have Passengers ride the rails on the Standard Gauge tracks into Antonito. We hope this can become a new opportunity for the Cumbres & Toltec... Where else can you ride a Standard Passenger Train right up to the front doors of A Steam Narrow Gauge Railroad.

Tioga Pass from Barstow sits next to the Antonito Depot.

Tioga Pass brought up the rear of the Train.

Now on Friday we ran a special for the Passengers on the Private Railcars. Half of the group rode out of Antonito on the Galloping Goose to Osier and the other half rode the Bus to Chama and boarded a Special Passenger Train to Osier from Chama.

The Goose Turned at Osier as did the Train and the Passengers exchanged places and returned.

I had to run tail first into Osier, here I am on 488 at Cumbres. I have just turned 488 around on the wye and will run Tender first to Osier to meet Galloping Goose number 5.

I had a great time, it was a fun run although we did experience Snowfall at Osier and Cumbres, its june and still snowing.

The Special train and the Goose meet at Osier.

We had a little Switching to turn the train and Caboose.. You can the Goose ahead of me on the Main.

This is what it looks like to watch the Goose pass by thru the Front Window of 488.

Ain't that a Great view.

The Goose at Osier.

Ain't that the biggest Chipmunk you have ever seen!!!!

Viento Encantado lifts into the Roswell Sky.

Yours truly is flying over Roswell, New Mexico.

Lift off from Roswell..

What a awesome day in Roswell..

I had a Beautiful flight, almost 45 minutes and 4 to 5 miles.

It was a great Rally, the weather was great and we flew both days..

It is rare to fly both days.

That is a Beautiful Balloon.

Ain't it just Beautiful, love the colors of the Balloons.

In the Background is the New Mexico Military Institute..

Hope to get back to Roswell next Year, I didn't see any aliens.

Touchdown...

Now this is the best luck in the world, as we drifted in the Balloon a BNSF Train came into town right under us...

It was pretty cool, one of the Crew members came out unto the front steps of the lead Locomotive to take pictures of us.

Viento Encantado's Chase Truck follows the Balloon right below us.

A view of the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge near Taos, New Mexico.

The Sweet Grass Cafe in Taos, New Mexico, Excellent Coffee... Twinky Approved!!!

Now I must admit I was lucky to show up at Rainbow field in Albuquerque, New Mexico at just the right time.

The Balloons were lifting off and why??? It was Ellie's 80th Birthday, she is one of the Pioneering women in New Mexico Ballooning and we were celebrating her birthday..

I loved being there for her Birthday, and I was honored to meet her.

It was a Awesome day..

Alot of Balloons flew, then came back for Birthday Cake.

April 16th, Happy Birthday Ellie.

Lighter than Air and away it goes.

The Balloon is cold inflating, next week I will have more of this celebration and Ellie herself.

Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me, I just celebrated my Birthday the 7th of June.... I will see you guys next week.
