On the left is the apple of my eye Jessica and on the right is my Sister in heart and spirit Samantha... I would like to wish Samantha Tanner the most wonderful wishes and I would also like her to know how proud I am of her, this Saturday while I am running the Opening day train, Samantha will be Graduating from High school... Congrats, love ya with all my heart and soul.. You are truly a Blessing to this World and I know you will be simply amazing in all you do in your future..

Good morning, its Tuesday the 24th of May and early morning in Chama, New Mexico.. I am on top of the Freshly Passenger Cars washing off the Red Overspray.

I am Looking toward the Coal Tower.

Now I want you to know, 488 had her second test run today... and she did great.. Here is 488 steaming up Tuesday Morning in Chama.

Marvin and Steve took her up the Line today and she ran great, Marvin told me she runs smooth.. a real nice ride.

Now I apologize, the Company who processes my Film into Digital Prints to share with you had a Major Breakdown, so I am going to try to take you into Opening Weekend the best I can, with my 20 Dollar Digital Camera... so I apologize for the lack of quality, but I am still taking picture's with my Rebel and those will be on the Site later...

Caboose 0306 has been freshly repainted, man she looks great.

A look at some of the Freshly painted coaches ready for service...

They have been fully inspected and with a few adjustments they will be ready to run..

Now the Adjustments I am talking about are:  We will hook them up and attach them to a Locomotive and check the Piston travel and adjustments of all the brake systems.

Its Thursday the 26th of May.... A fresh load of Coal just arrived and the truck is off loading it into the coal bin..

It amazes me those trucks don't fall over... Now we did fire up 484 today and we switched the trains into place.. tomorrow Friday the 27th we will run two trains over the line to get everything into place for Opening Day..

We also made a run into Osier with our shop lift on a Trailer to remove the last shutters from the top windows in Osier, me and Marvin and with help from Sam and Lawrence from the Parlor Car got those Heavy shutters down.

Its Marvin's turn and he is up on the lift...

We are own our way back to Antonito and we are at Osier Park... Marvin is checking the lift to make sure it's secure.

A view today from the Osier Building looking toward the Los Pinos Valley. It's Beautifully green up there.

And now a few of those artistic shots... Ronnie at the controls of 484 in Antonito.. I am firing and we are switching the Antonito Train into place.

Its Friday the 27th and I am in Chama with 487 ready to cross the line to Antonito...

In the second picture, 487 and I are climbing towards Coxo Curve and everything is going great.

And finally 487 makes Cumbres Pass and stops for water, 487 did Great!!!!

Continuing on, 487 is crossing Cascade Trestle, you should see the runoff from the snowmelt.

We didn't plan this, but me and 487 and Ronnie on 484 met in Osier just a minute or two apart.

There is Car 523, the first car painted red bringing up the rear of Ronnie's Train.

484 on the main with Chama Parlor Car and Open Car headed west and 487 and I on the siding with a Handicap Car and a extra Coach headed east.

After a quick lunch, we head out of Osier.

There goes 484 and the newly painted coach 523.

After a great run thru the Canyon, 487 and I reach Sublette... we arrived in Antonito at 2:15 that afternoon and finished setting up the train for Opening Day.

Saturday the 28th, 484 is on Train 4 at Osier and the mornings have gone great for both trains.

There is my Sweety, she rode on the Train opening day and is standing in front of the Fire Patrol Motor Car.

Now get this coming into Sublette we had some very dark clouds and just as we stopped for water, Boom... the sky opened and the Hail came down..

It turned Sublette white for a while..

Rolling past the East Sublette Yard Limit and the ground is covered with Hail.

We are rolling east towards Antonito and the Hail Storm has left us behind, check out those dark clouds over Lava Tank.

Here are two friends of Mine, here are Brothers Steve Dickey and David Dickey, both have shots that they will be sharing with the Website, and they are awesome picture's, they will be on soon... Thanks Guys, it was great to meet you in person.

484 is in Antonito and we are switching the train, the day went very well and both Trains had a great day.

Now thanks again to Jarrette Ireland, a Employee with the Durango & Silverton, here are a few behind the scene picture's from our Narrow Gauge neighbor up North.

Hey check out the that Beautiful Locomotive crossing the High Bridge at Milepost 471.2.

And I must say, I loved this shot.. Thank You Jarrette... here is a crew shot from Durango taken at Needleton Tank. Thanks Jarrette, best wishes for you and the D&S and we are all waiting for more of your Awesome Photography!!!
