Here's our Friend Earl Knoob on the Arizona Eastern. I would like to thank Earl for sharing these photo's.

This was a Passenger Special and its was called, The "Bowie Cannonball".

Below Lava Tank loop, Diesel 19 takes a break as the track crew undoes chains from the load of ties.

Two artistic shots of Diesel 19..

From the ties looking up.

We made two loads this day, on the second I was instructed by the track crew to not proceed past milepost 289... Diesel 19 waits at 289.

I was unable to contact the track crew from my location so I climbed above milepost 289 to get clear signals for my radio. Thought I would share the view with you.

Another view from above milepost 289, looking Northeast.

The Track Crew has returned to dump the second load of ties for the day.

The Motorcar with Joseph leaning out of the car for better visibility rolls down Gravity Hill.

Back on the work train the track crew removes the chains to begin our second load of ties..

We have reached Ferguson trestle and have completed the job.. We will head back to Antonito and the track crew will return to milepost 289.

A quick break and the Guys will be on their way...

The Guys pile into the Motorcar and are on their way, see you later guys.

We have secured the last bundles left on the flat car... we actually brought more than the track crew needed, so a few will go back to Antonito for another day.

Diesel 19 strikes a Beautiful pose just west of Ferguson Trestle.

I took a few moments to capture the moment for you all!!!!

Due to a vacancy on the track crew, a new employee was added to the crew out of Antonito... Anthony Jiron, a long time Home Builder took his first ride onboard a C&T train as a employee.

Anthony began work on a Wednesday and said he was so excited to become a C&T Employee he couldn't sleep the night before his first day... it was something he has always wanted to do.

About 20 minutes into the first day and we were all joking and laughing with Anthony, the Railroad is a brotherhood of guys and gals who take care of each other, watch out for each other and trust each other.. Anthony has a made a great new addition to our C&T brotherhood..

Diesel 19 catches her breath, then we will head for home...

Diesel 19 has always been a valuable locomotive to the C&T and today it did its job very well... I love that locomotive, I have spent alot of days in its Engineer seat..

I love these type of shots, Earl is in the cab and a meet with UP can be seen thru the window.

How about a few shots from the Friends and Lovers Balloon Rally in Alburquerque.

I love the light in these picture's...

The Colorful Balloons against the blue skies is a site to behold.

The Balloon I crew for "Viento Encantado" begins to fill with Hot air.

Clarke, the pilot has the Burners going and soon the balloon will stand ready for flight.

I will share a few more shots from this rally, I have really come to enjoy Hot Air Ballooning. There is Smokey, with Pilot Bill Chapel in control.

A look at the two Private cars that made up the special on the Arizona Eastern.

Welcome again to "The Duke City and the home of 2926".  The guys are working on 2926, they built that yellow over head support for their hoists themselves.

Now I must say, I was impressed with the trucks of 2926.

Completion of the Tender restoration is almost done, I really love the work they have done on the tender trucks..

I love the intricacy of the rigging, it has all been rebuilt and work is Beautiful.. I love mechanic's and how machinery can be almost artistic in its form and function.

The truck is designed to be flexible and fluid as the wheels ride the rails..

"Cobra" brake shoes have been installed and all the cylinders have been rebuilt. Its' looking Great.

There are still a few things to be done, but the work has been done beautifully!

The Cab of 2926, this cab had four seats...

Looking down from the cab of 2926...

I wanted to show you all, how high you actually are up in the cab of 2926...

Looking out the fireman's window down to the guys working on the trucks of 2926.

Now I didn't realize this until I looked over in that direction in the picture's later, but over there in the background is "Reliance Steel". This company supplies almost 99 percent of the metal products used by the railroad.. we actually know the Truck Drivers and their Green Trucks pretty well.. they are great company and in their own way help the C&T survive! Thanks Reliance!!!!

A look at 2926 on the spur track and its tender tank to the right.... I took more photos than I thought, so I will have another batch of photos of the 2926 next week also....

I loved these shots, beautiful skies.. Thanks Earl for sharing these.. talk to you later... and I will see you all next week.  Carlos Llamas
