The Ballast regulator at Osier, Colorado. October 18th, 2006.

So would you like to take a ride down tracks on the regulator, well here we go.

Passing over the west loop switch at Osier.

Passing thru Columbine Cut east of Osier.

Passing over the retaining walls east of Osier..

Looking back to Osier...

Thru the rock cuts west of Milepost 317.

Around the rock walls heading back to Osier.

I love how tight these cuts are, just exactly what is needed to squeeze thru..

Once again passing over the retaining walls..

You can see how close the rock walls are to the tracks here...

Heading back to Osier... about a 1/2 mile out.

December 6th and Anthony and Sam are needle-scaling and sand-blasting the tender of 489 in Antonito.

The tank of 489 is in the shop and they guy's here are working on the frame of 489's tender.

The sun shines into the Antonito Shop...

Late afternoon and the sun begins to set...

December 8th and we are firing up 487 for the Christmas Trains...

Locomotive 487 is steaming up!!!

Nearly ready, then we will do some switching and be ready for Saturdays train.

December 9th and Locomotive 487 is being loaded with coal..

Its pretty early in the morning and its cold..

Diesel 19 sits behind Locomotive 487 in Antonito.

Locomotive 487 is ready to head up to the Mainline and the train...

December 9th, Ronnie and I are getting 487 ready for the Santa Claus train....

It was a bit cold that morning....

Steam lifts into the sky from the Dynamo and Safety Valve's...

Locomotive 487's headlight shines in the early morning cold!!

Good Ole' 487 will pull 2 trains to Lava this day!!!

Parlor Car Attendant Coradene helped me with the caboose,

Caboose 0579 rolls along west on Antonito on its second trip of the day...

Locomotive 484 and Drop Bottom Gondola 727.

I am on the train as Locomotive 484 is cut out of the train with a defective car 727.

D&RGW Flanger 0L at Cumbres, this flanger will return to Chama with locomotive 487.

The train departs for Osier, Colorado.

Locomotive 484 departs for Osier, Colorado light.

Locomotive 487 and Flanger 0L switch the damaged car back towards the Depot.
