Drifting over Chama, New
Mexico onboard "Viento Encantado" a Balloon owned by Clarke O"Bryne
and sponsored by the Parlor Car B&B. |
|
How about a few views of the Tank in Chama. |
|
I love the Yellow structure against the Blue sky. |
|
This is actually a huge tank..... |
|
A look at the speeder sheds.... I hope you like
these shots, I try to bring you as close to being here with me as I
can. |
|
I have loved staying with
Wendy & Bonsall at the Parlor Car Bed & Breakfast.. Wendy is such a
Amazing Cook..... WOW!!!! |
|
Two other Balloons drift
over Chama for the 2006 Sno Ball Rally. |
|
Another view of the yards... I was
extremely happy with these shots. |
|
The Mornings started off pretty
windy, but Balloons were able to fly both days. |
|
As we drifted over the old mainline,
we drifted over Boilermaker Donald "Ducky" Martinez's house...
That's Ducky down there. |
|
Looking towards Pagosa Springs..... |
|
Drifting over another balloon....
Have a few more aerial shots, I will put those in next week. |
|
Welcome to the Parlor Bed &
Breakfast in Chama, New Mexico. |
|
Another look at the Driver axles of 484 and
Locomotive 488. |
|
Isn't that Beautiful, machinery at its finest...
The skill required to maintain that is a lost art and our guys here
at the C&T are the Artists... |
|
A look at the spring rigging, the wood blocks are
helping to hold everything in place while the Drivers are removed. |
|
A look at the Valve gear of 484. |
|
Now isn't that just amazing, look at the quality
of work, that is a sleeve for the Bissell Post.. |
|
There is good ole' Steve, what a Great Guy.. he
came in on a day off to open the shop for me to get shots for all of
you... |
|
Now a friend of mine wanted to see some builders
plate's, well I apologize... this is all I found, but I will keep
looking!! |
|
I hope this is what you were looking for, I looked
up and down and over this machine and this is all I found... I will
keep looking though. |
|
Now a look at one of the Completed Pilot Truck
sets. |
|
The guys did some great work on these. |
|
Can you see those two Pyramid shaped device's,
those support the Bissell Post. |
|
Locomotive 487 is being switched around and
actually has a good portion of its Cab intact. |
|
Locomotive 487's Air Compressor remains intact and
ready for service... I hope you enjoyed your visit to Chama.... |
|
Right there on the sign is
all the info and just in case, here's the website:
www.parlorcar.com ! |
|
Now just recently Chama has received close
to 10 inches of fresh snow, but a while back it was all gone and
melting away.... I thought you would like a look at the Yards. |
|
I have always enjoyed this structure.... I still
think this is the tallest structure in Chama. |
|
It was actually pretty wet the last time I walked
thru the yard. |
|
A look at Locomotive 489, have to check to be
sure.. but, I think 489 will donate a axle to 484. I will check on
that for you. |
|
From the beautiful kitchen..... |
|
Up the double staircase to the second
story.... |
|
To our beautiful bedroom... We stayed
in the Beautiful Upstairs of this house.. I loved it, it was warm
and cozy and I slept soooo good! I wanted to share the whole area we
occupied to show you how beautiful it was, The Bathroom was actually
very beautiful also... but I can't show you those picture's, sorry! |
|
We actually had the Honor of
staying at the Sargent House, it is now known as the Maple House...
but it was originally the Home owned by the Sargent Family of
Chama's early History.
This Photo did come out fuzzy, but I
like it none the less... Erika lights candles in our Room.
Thanks to Wendy And
Bonsall Johnson. |
