"Memories Of The Narrow Gauge", A beautiful picture by Michelle Martin.. Thanks Michelle my friend.

Hey check out my Dad on the back of Carita's.... Carita's has been staying in Alamosa, I am sure they are planning on running another excursion over La Veta before regular passenger train service begins.

Welcome to the "San Luis Valley brewery" in Alamosa. That's my Sister and Dad with a Charming, Fun waitress who works for the Brewery.

The Food is great and the Beer is great, only had a drink, but Dad enjoyed his Dark Ale. The place is "TWINKY APPROVED". Stop in for a cold one and the homemade Root Beer is great.

Here is the interior of the San Luis Valley Brewery.. it came out looking great. Stop in and visit!!

This is a great view in the Chama Yard.... I never get to pull a Locomotive up to this tank for water. One of the greatest things in the world is to run a locomotive up to a tank and fill it with water, kinda of a right of passage.

She's a beautiful tank.

Thought you might like to just walk around the yard and see the sights...

The bunkhouse near the pile of coal.

I loved this reflection....

Now I want my friend to know, as soon as I can I will get to Chama and completely photograph this piece of equipment for you...

More of the rare equipment we have in the yard in Chama.

A bit of snow on the Flanger.

I thought you might just like to look around and see how everything is doing...

I really like this locomotive, that paint job is pretty sharp.

Its the San Acacio Depot of the old San Luis Southern...

Ain't she a beauty... thought you might like a glimpse.

I want to run this Locomotive, who do I have to ask?????

A old wheel against the shed, that's a railroad scene if I have ever seen one.

How about a view of the area of the Chama Yard below the Shops... check out this Flue Sheet... any ideas on where this came from...

This old truck has seen its better days...

How about a Motor Car graveyard.... I would love to see all of those riding the rails instead of sitting there getting older.

Hey check this out, its old replaced tires from Locomotive drivers...

And a collection of freight car axles... those are historic wheels on those, they are cast and have the D&RGW stamp on them.

I love this building, I have always enjoyed finding old buildings and photographing them!

Well the first of 7 Locomotives for the SL&RG arrived in Alamosa on Saturday morning on the Walsenburg Turn Train.

Carita's is making Alamosa its home for now and has been here since its last excursion.

Now this Locomotive is a long way from home, but will be making Alamosa its new home... would you like to see the interior??? Scroll down.....

Carita's sits next to the SL&RG power, that Maroon locomotive and yellow locomotive are only on short term lease and will leave when the other 6 locomotives arrive.

The Control stand is basically the same.... the view is a little limiting, can't see the rails right in front of you like the other locomotive's.

A view of the Conductors side, I am actually looking forward to riding this locomotive in the valley. Every ride in a Railroad Locomotive is a good one.

Right down the nose thru the bathroom and right outside.

Now that is a collection of Locomotive's, there is 804, a ex-Rocky Mountaineer, a ex-Canadian American Locomotive and a ex-Southern Pacific in speed lettering.

Those are some distinctive rear ends....

I will let you know how these locomotive's run and will have more picture's for you.

This is the Chama Liquor Store.... oh, wait did I confuse you???

Sorry, this is the town of Chama, Colorado Liquor Store...

How about a few more shots of that Beautiful Bearcat. Thanks to Steven Dickey for these great shots.

This Bearcat is located in Breckenridge, Texas. It is the tenth Bearcat made, making it a pre-production airframe, i.e. an experimental prototype.

These photos were taken were taken in Breckenridge last Sept before the Reno Air Races.

I love this Aircraft, what a beauty...

Just like railroad locomotives, there are historical items of all forms that deserve to be saved and restored for future generations.

I have alot of respect for my Buddy Steven who maintains and restores these beautiful aircraft.

Thanks for the shots Steven.

That's the logo of the San Luis Valley Brewery on the back of that T-shirt... I really enjoyed this place, the food is great... stop in sometime.

Sorry if this update is a little small, my internet was giving me a little trouble. Have a great one, Carlos
