Welcome Back to Website... it is getting close to opening day and I will try to keep up on the updates... soon the steam will be rolling again. I would like to remind you out there, if you have any ideas or suggestions, feel free to send them to me... I want to hear your suggestions!!!

She's kinda camera shy, but there's my Sweety... I don't remember what she was pointing at, maybe next weeks update, who knows...

Say hello to the Pre-school kids from the Rocky Mountain SER Headstart.. These Great little kids and their Teachers and a Few Parents came over to the Antonito Railroad Yard to help us get ready for the season. I will show you all the Help they gave and will take you along for the ride when we Run a Private Special Train for them next week.

Welcome to the Antonito Shop...

The Chama based snack car is in for a little repair.. The springs were changed on the trucks you can see in this picture.

This truck needed new springs and they were installed, the roof was also given a second coat of silver paint.

The car also received new brake valve's, a new retainer and a different set of wheels on its B-side.

The Antonito Based Fire Patrol trailer was also in the shop for maintenance and repair.

Welcome back to the Chama Shops, we are in the cab of 487 looking across to 488.

Another look at 488 and 487 sharing the Chama Shop.

Now here is a look at one the new Air Reservoirs.

Orlando is working on the new Reservoirs.

A detail of the end of the reservoir and the threaded end.

Now we are in the Machine shop and the guys are working on 487's rods and bushings.

You can see the bushings and the rods. If you look inside of the bushing, you can see groove's cut into the bushing. This procedure will allow the Alemite grease to fill this area and provide lubrication.

A look at the Machine Shop.

How about in 488's cab and looking at 487??

Now in the Engineers side of 488 looking at 487.

I wanted to share some unusual shots with you, I am on 488's tender and looking at 487.

Another look at 487 from 488.

Now 484 will be next, but still have alot of work on 484.. supposed to up and running by June!!!

Cochitti Pueblo near Alburquerque, New Mexico.

Welcome back to the Santa Fe 2926, I am in the cab, looking out the Firemans window down to Tender trucks being repaired.

Santa Fe 2926 had a oil fuel capacity of 7, 500 gallons.

This fuel oil tank is designed to fit right into the bunker in the tender.

The tender is nearing completion, it is looking great.

Another view of 2926.

The front end of the tender.

The guys keep working... it is a tremendous amount of work these gentleman are doing.

Another look at one of the rebuilt brake cylinders on 2926's tender truck,

I love these trucks, they are great pieces of machinery.

A look at 2926's cab and observation deck.

Its May 10th and the guys and I are working on assembling the trains for this summer. It was actually very helpful to have the new track to the Antonito Car Repair Shop in service, we were actually able to store a whole passenger train out of the way.

I will show you the rest of the picture's in the next update!!!
