Well the website is doing great, thanks to the new donated computer and Roger's and the Chama Dot Com's server's continuing Fantastic work.. I am just about capable of doing anything... if you have any suggestions feel free to let me know.. do you want a Holiday Special Update or New Year Addition.. feel free to offer some opinions.. there is a few of you that keep asking for a swimsuit addition, I don't have some sports magazines photography budget, so you will have to wait on that one.

Here's one for my Buddies, Paul and Dean, this was where I was when I was missing!!!!! You Guys know what I mean!!!!

With Veteran Engineer Larry brown watching closely, I have control of GP-39 ILSX-1389 running downgrade on the west side of La Veta Pass with the passenger train.. Thanks Larry!!!

I am kind of a scrappy looking Guy!!!  Dang it!!!

Locomotive 488 at Sublette, just a picture to enjoy...

MW-02 and the Lewis Entz Caboose in Antonito...

The interior of the MW-02.

A collection of MW-02 at Osier, Colorado.

The Boss had the MW-02 out for a Inspection.

From the Rail level....

I love this thing....

Looking thru the windshield to the 488 sitting behind on the mainline.

Locomotive 488 and MW-02.

Back at home with the 488 and MW-02.

The Entz Caboose and 0579 at Osier, Colorado.

Not much, but here's a look at 489 in the Chama Shop!!

The guys are cleaning and preparing 489 for its rebuild, even while the other locomotives are keeping them busy!

You are looking at the Front Driver brake cylinders being cleaned and inspected.

A look at the boiler measurements...

The guys were working on a Air Pump in the shop....

Not sure what they were doing, but figured you would like to see what a air pump looks like inside!!!

The upper Low Pressure steam side of the pump.

And a look at both of the steam portions of the pump...

The caboose's...

Leaving Cumbres, we pass Diesel 19...

It will take a while, but Marvin and Ronnie have been dropping alot of Ballast.

Here is a look at Tanglefoot with fresh ballast all the way around...

Again, it will take a while to surface the track and such, but this is the first steps in improving the Cumbres & Toltec Track for the future.

0579 and the Osier Tank... could be the old days!!!!

On Locomotive 487, heading towards Sublette, just short of Milepost 303. How about those fall colors!!!

Passing the Track Crew at the Osier Loop....

Locomotive 488 and MW-02 at Osier....

Two old Rio Grande Veterans....

Just a collection of photographs of these two railroad machines.

The back of MW-02 and the nose of 488.

Hope you like these shots..

I actually took a few minutes during lunch and gave people a ride up and down the siding.

That is a cool machine.

The curve at Sublette, the fall colors as usual were just amazing..

Caboose 0579.....

On SL&RG 1389 with a second trailing, we are rounding Muleshoe Curve and will soon Summit La Veta Pass at Fir Station.. 250 plus passengers onboard!!!

Too the left is the Muleshoe Curve and in the front window is the track just short of the summit.

Just east of the Summit and looking down as the tracks drop down below us...

We are in Dynamic Braking, about setting 4 and rolling downgrade to La Veta.

La Veta Pass is in full fall colors...

Thought you might like to see the fall colors...

I love the these GP-39's, they ride well, have great heaters and great visibility ahead.

Rolling past the Retaining walls.

The colors were great this year..

Just ahead is Chicken Rock to the right...

Continuing downgrade thru the aspens..

We are just short of the middle tunnel, there was in fact the upper, middle and lower tunnels! The Upper was daylighted, but the names remained! We will turn to the right and roll into the Middle Tunnel.

To the right is a small cabin, don't see people there too often...

Rolling towards Codo Siding...

Arrival in La Veta and tied down for lunch... more later..

The Caboose's, you know I like caboose's...

The Trains Unlimited Special is on the main in Osier, I am coming in on the siding with Train 215 and 484.

Locomotive 487 leads the Special train with 488 behind coupled to the train.

Thought you might like these views of the train.

487 and 488....

The business end of 487, she looks good in Rio Grande Logo's.

A good look at 488's front end...

These are different, but thought you might like...

487 and those beautiful lamps..

More to come next week... see ya later.

I am at the front and the two Caboose's are bringing up the rear around Tanglefoot Curve..

Another visit to the Manitou & Pike's Peak Railway... welcome to Windy Point, a Track Crew building near the summit.

Putting the trains away for the evening....

I love the yard, it is in ordinary railroad terms, extremely steep...

One of the Maintenance-of-way Vehicles. I love the flatcar behind with single axles on each end.

One of the buildings on the property and a look at the amazing trackwork.

A view of the rail yards at the railway.

I love this, check out the complexity of the switches.

Can you see how they work???

Down to ground level, I love these type of shots.

Can you see how the points and the cog is moved to change direction.

Another view of the railyard and sheds.

The Maintenance-of-way machine...

I love this thing, that is a great looking piece of railroad machinery.

The sheds at Manitou.

Trying to peek in, maybe someday I can take you inside.

The depot at Manitou.

There is our Buddy and his Buddy at Cumbres and there is Mike...

Somebody peeks out of the window at Windy Point on the Manitou & Pike's Peak Cog Railway.

See you next week... Carlos
