Thanks to my friend Dean, here is a shot of the Double-headed Passenger train in heavy snow.

See the rock in the lower left half of the picture... this is near Milepost 222.50!  You all know about the Sphinx of Egypt, well this is the Sphinx of Los Pinos...

Here is the Boss Frank Turner, he is in MW-02 and will be out on the line on a track inspection...

I am in MW-02 and Max is at the controls as we back down to the fuel track to prepare MW-02 for the Boss's trip over the line.

Back to the Trains Unlimited Special... We are at Osier, Colorado.

Locomotive 488 was the road locomotive.

Locomotive 487 was the helper.

Locomotive 487 at Osier, Colorado.

Thought you might like this view of 487 and 488 at Osier.

D&RGW stockcar 5704.

End details of stock car 5704.

Helper 487 rolls into Antonito and will turn on the loop.

There goes 487, 487 will pull the passenger train the day after...

Locomotive 488 and train rolls into station..

Locomotive 488 leading the stockcars into the yard.

That is so nice to see, the old freight rolling over the railroad.

Now the boxcars roll in....

I love that Caboose...

Another shot of Cumbres, thanks to my friend Dean....

Monday morning October 16th and we are going to run a deadhead passenger train to Chama.....

These cars will be used for the Christmas train out of Chama..

Six coaches, a open car and two Caboose's... Just for the record, Brakeman Anthony Jiron was battlefield promoted for the day and acted as the Conductor for today's train...

On locomotive 488 and climbing Gravity Hill above milepost 289. You can barely see snow-capped Mount Blanca in the background.

Climbing out of Milepost 296 in the center of Whiplash Curve.

Arrival at Sublette, the two Caboose's bring up the rear.

You know how I love Caboose's, the addition of 0579 into the fleet of the Cumbres & Toltec is a dream come true for me.

Stopped for water and photographs at Sublette New Mexico.

The Bunkhouse and 0579.

Looking forward, the whole train can be seen.

Caboose 0579...

Locomotive 484 in Antonito...

October 17th and we are at Osier, Colorado... there is alot of things nobody knows about, but that have to be done every year... Closing up the Osier building for the winter is one of them!!!

The Antonito Crew drives out and puts the shutters up on the windows, drains the water from the building, winterizes the plumbing, drain the cisterns and pulls out the generator!!!

These are picture's of the Osier building being readied for winter...

It looks quite different doesn't it.

It was quite difficult this year as the weather rolled in on us and we battled snow storms and slick roads to get out of Osier... keep your eyes open for all the picture's of the work required at Osier every year.

This is the package that the Steam Locomotive Headlight light bulbs come in, thought you might these... that is a great package with some history.

These picture's are courtesy of John Bishop... and there he is!!!

John is part of a group building what is shaping up to be the
largest 15" gauge railroad in the country (7 miles of track on the ground to date).

I love this shot, that is a beautiful and picturesque cut.

The owner John R Woods is a business man in St. Louis and has 2500 acres in the Ozark mountains near Steelville.

I love this, its beautiful!!!

John and his co-workers are in the building stage of the railroad for the most part and have both 5'' scale and 3" scale equipment.

This is a cool picture, I love the trackwork and the signal light and the Locomotive and more!!!

Thanks John and we will have more soon!!

Backing MW-02 to the Fuel track... thought you might like to see out the front windshield to the tank.

Marvin V. taking water on Locomotive 487 in Antonito....

Here we are preparing the MW-02 for the Boss's run over the line.

There is Mike inspecting the MW-02 and Max is filling up the tank.

I love this machine!!!

Good Ole' MW-02.....

Thought this was a nice picture....

Welcome to Osier, Colorado... yep, your eyes aren't lying, that's a Helicopter in the Osier Parking Lot.

The Tail rotor and the Osier Tank...

Our wonderful friend Sam flew over the Railroad and chased trains... those have to be some awesome shots...

This helicopter belongs to New Air Helicopters, based in Durango Co, they can be reached at 970-259-6247 if you need a helicopter.

Thru the front windshield of the Helicopter...

There is a friend of Sam's Bob Hayden, Sam, me and the Pilot John Lee!!!

A common duty, but I just thought it looked nice and worthy of a picture this morning.

Back in La Veta, Colorado... soon we will head for Alamosa.

Rolling east, the fall colors light up the track...

Welcome to Fir, the summit of La Veta.

Larry Brown and I have reached the summit and will soon be descending the west of La Veta Pass...

Looking back as the 2 locomotive's and 5 five cars descend La Veta...

To the right you can see what's left of the connecting track.

Looking back as we roll out of the Muleshoe curve below the summit.

I am at the throttle of ILSX 1389 and have the train locked in at 15 miles per hour on the descent and the dynamics in 4 position.

Descending La Veta Pass east of Sierra Siding.

I thought you might enjoy these of me at the throttle.

Rolling thru the oak brush.... heading for Alamosa.

Thanks again to my friend Dean for the shots... here are the motorcars at Cumbres...

Found this on the interior of ILSX 1389's restroom compartment... thought you might like this!!

See ya later...Carlos
