Welcome to Sargents, Colorado on the old Rio Grande...

A few of the original buildings are still standing although they are getting pretty old and beat up!!!

I found this Bunkcar sitting in someone's backyard...

The Old Water Tower at Sargents, its not looking good... the Bands are dropping off..

Number 5 makes the curve off Lobato Trestle...

Goose Number 5 is in the siding at Cresco and waiting for the Westbound train to pass.

The Passenger train comes into view....

On our second Cumbres Turn, Goose Number 5 is posing at the Depot.

Preparing for a Photo Run the step box is down to unload passengers.

Another shot of the Goose at Cumbres.

Classic pose!!!

I had a great time on the Goose, look forward to seeing it and riding it again...

A detail of the Goose's nose at Lobato Siding.

Goose Number 5 at the Chama Water Tank.

There's me and the Crew......

I love the green of the grass and the gray skies behind....

The bands are starting to drop and that's not a good sign...

There is a Fire Truck and you know I love them...

Sargents, Colorado.... hope you liked the shots..

Taking water at Los Pinos on 488.

Gray skies, it has been raining like crazy here...

Another shot of 488 at Cumbres.

The nose of 488, about ten minutes after this shot, we got hammered with rain all the way to Chama.

I am on the passenger train over La Veta, we have stopped and will double our train with a group of locomotives down to La Veta..

Another one of the Engineers I have learned a great deal from, Let me introduce Mr. Larry Brown, I am truly honored to ride and work with this veteran railroader.

We have cut in a string of Locomotives and are rolling downgrade to La Veta.

I took the opportunity to walk thru the units and take picture's for you..

Remember that Southern Pacific locomotive that sat in South Fork for years, well her she is working over La Veta Pass.. mechanics in Alamosa got her running again.

After spending lunch in La Veta, we are heading back to Alamosa and are passing a freight train in the siding at La veta.

Engineer Marc Widener and Conductor Tyson Bagwell will take these empties over La Veta behind the Passenger train.

Heading for home across the San Luis Valley floor west of Blanca.

Good Ole' 453, one of the first of this kind I rode on here in the valley.

Thank you all for being patient, I am still working on catching up, see you next week.. Carlos
