Welcome to Albuquerque and the Downtown Rail Runner Station.. The next train is pulling into station.

Jan 16 and work continues on 489's Tender Tank.

The side sheets have been added and internal supports are in place.

The side sheets have been replaced with new metal.

You can see the tender is becoming whole again!

Soon we will begin drilling holes for the Very Many rivets that will be placed into the tender.

Well here is the second tender truck of 489, it has been brought into track 2 for repair and rebuild.

Anthony is working on removing the bolts that hold the truck together.

489's truck and Diesel 19 share a track in the shop!

We are beginning to remove the bent strips of metal that keep the truck together.. we have removed the top plate and can now lift the bolster out.

The Bolster has been removed as well as the springs, we will have to replace one set of springs as they were broken.

Now the lower support channel has been removed. All that is left is the Arch Bars, the brake rigging, the journal boxes and the wheels.

The completely disassembled truck of 489's tender.

We removed the Generators from 19 and they are on their way to be rebuilt.

Rocky Mountain Motors will rebuild them in Grand Junction..

The locomotives are pretty sharp looking.

The consist was made up of two passenger cars and the locomotive with a control cab at the rear of the train.

A look at the cars and the passenger terminal.

I love the paint scheme, pretty sharp.

Locomotive 103 is facing south.

Engineer Clem Harris is at the rear of the train as we travel north to Bernallio.

There is so many ways to get a great shot of this trestle.

These structure's are amazing, I wish the builders of this bridge could have known how long these bridges would last into the future.

Here is my buddy Paul Uhland, i would like to thank him for his assistance in helping me find the right train and to help me get all these shots of the Rail Runner. Thanks Paul!!
