I was in town for a Balloon Rally,
thought I would get a few shots for you!! You can see a few trains
being serviced, soon they will ready to roll with fresh crews...

Monday morning and five painted cars sit in
the morning sunshine!! Kinda gives you a idea what the whole train
will look like! |

The Chama based parlor car will follow the Chama
Based snack car into the shop, it is sitting ready on Track 4. |

Work is done on one truck of Diesel 19, now
the second truck will have its axle's removed!! They have in fact
been removed and are in Chama for Tire replacement. |

Now thanks to Rocky Mountain Electric Motors, the
generators of Diesel 19 were delivered back to Antonito fully
rebuilt and ready for service. |

The Tamper and Regulator are having their turn
with Rudy in the CRF. |

You can see two rebuilt Motor car trailers and
next to them the heavy machinery will get looked over.. |

The Chama based snack was in for maintenance and
we did some major work on one of its trucks... |

March 14th and we are moving the 487 over to
track three... |

We will prepare 487 for its Hydro Test... we are
going to put 487 thru its annual test.. |

Remember that list I showed you a while back, we
are going to do everything on that list.. |

We will test the boiler, go thru the air system,
do maintenance on the locomotive and check the boiler flue's and
plugs... |

There is a giant list and proper procedure for
doing a annual on a steam locomotive and we will follow those
procedure's to a T to prepare 487 for service this summer. |
