Monday the 19th of March, locomotive 463
sits in Antonito.. lots of stuff happening this week!! |

Two motor cars sits
ready to roll at the fuel rack... as of today the track crews have
come back to work and will be on the line soon!! |

Ties are being delivered to the Antonito yard,
crews are preparing the ties and the Tamper and Regulator are ready
to get back on the track work!! |

Here we are in Antonito, Steve is in
Antonito with us and he is Calibrating the steam pressure gauge of
487. |

The Gauge is hooked up to the instrument, there is
oil in the chambers and into the gauge... the round items are
weights and are equal to pressure on the gauge. as weights are added
the pressure gauge registers more pressure. |

This thing is cool... I thought you would like to
see how gauges are checked and calibrated. |

Wednesday and we have 487 fired and being
inspected... |

We tested the safety valve's and air systems, we
will make a few adjustments and continue work on the safety's.. |

second steam gauge there and use it for the test. |

Locomotive 487 sits next to the MW-02.. |

After a long day.. 11 hours, Ronnie rolls 487 into
the shop under its own steam power. We have dropped the fire and
will let 487 cool down. |

Thursday the 22nd, the guys have cleaned,
sandblasted and primed the truck parts for 489's tender! |
