Up Heritage Unit 1989 sits in Denver...

Thanks to my Friend Patrick Anderson I was able to enjoy Colorado & Southern 30 run light around the small hills of Denver..

The Cumbres & Toltec's new Tamper was fired up and ready to roll this morning.

It will head out today, monday the 16th for crew training.

Work on the track begins again today, all the machines will be out on the line.

The New Tamper is rolling out of the yard...

Its a great looking machine, today they were making a few adjustments on it!!

Diesel 19 is getting some more work done.. the trucks have been completely rebuilt!

The next step will be the Generators re-installation.

The New Tamper rolls out onto the main for the first time....

Toby walks by the tamper stopped on the main.

The guys are running the machine thru checks and making adjustments.

Its impressive looking, I tell you what!!!!

Here are two views of the Tamper.

Check out the upper light for leveling and the lower for right to left adjustments.

Max is taking a break and we are preparing to paint a car...

The Antonito Car is being painted into the new scheme... The red and black is done and now we will work on the silver coating...

Now there is a difference in the silver coatings on the cars.. the Chama based cars have silver paint and the Antonito based cars have a coating to help seal the roof. It is a coating that goes on a Bold Gold color then turns silver..

Another car is done..

Hey those beautiful Generators rebuilt by Rocky Mountain Electric motors are looking great!

They have been installed back into Diesel 19.

The wiring is being re-installed and the generators have been bolted back into place.

The motors are being worked on, but they have not arrived yet...

Also some of the motor mounts have been removed as the new motor will not need them!

Its Wednesday and the "Antonito" car is done and ready for service...

Thursday and the car has been rolled out of the shop and sits in the Antonito sun.

I am very, very happy with this car, I think it came out great.

Now there are two cars fully lettered and ready for service. The rest of the cars will be lettered later.

Its 4:30 and the setting sun lights the Antonito Car beautifully... we hope all you friends and guests enjoy our work this summer.

Here is a drawing of what the new Diesel 19 motors will look like!

The worn logo of a Southern Pacific Switcher in Galveston... I love railroading!

The Tank tender of Southern Pacific 555, ain't she a beauty!!
