Denver & Rio Grande 168...

On display in Colorado Springs near the Depot.

Now these are the best shots, but thought you would still like them...

Its SP 1744 on a a truck trailer, its passing thru Antonito and is rolling toward Alamosa.

Soon it will be in Alamosa, I hope you like the shots.. it's not often you see a standard guage locomotive passing thru town.

A Antonito based car sits in the rain outside...

Its fully painted and ready for service.

A second Antonito based car sits ready for paint....

Here it has its black and red applied and will soon get its silver roof applied.

On a rainy day, the second Antonito car comes out of the shop!

I think it looks great!!

Now I would love to take picture's on a sunny day, but that doesn't work all the time.

The next morning two Antonito based cars are painted and ready for service.

I think they are looking great.

The cars have been serviced and the brakes tested.. this car has its piston set to 5 & 1/2 inches.. Just right!!

The sun shines on the cars in Antonito...

They look great together and I look forward to seeing the whole train set up!

Car number three.. this is the Toltec, car 505! It has had its red and black applied and we will do the silver next!

We are making progress and getting the cars painted.

April 26th and work is being done on 487.

We removed the rods, but had Tommy and Ed do the measuring for the Bearings..

The guys came over from Chama to do the work.

When it comes to bushings and bearings, we let the pros' do the work!

Tommy and Ed did a beautiful job on the new bushings..

The work came out beautifully... 487 is ready to roll.

Now the other day a new car arrived in Antonito..

Thought I would share a few picture's with you.

Its a stock car....

Alcon and its crane unloaded the car and I am sorry, but I missed the lift.

The car is now sitting next to the other cars north of the Antonito Car Repair Shop.

The interior of the car...

Its D&RGW 5998..

Hope you like the shot... I just wanted to share the latest addition with you all.

The Galveston Trolley approaches.

It will turn and head to the Hospital if I am correct...

The Trolley follows a few different route's..

Absolutely Beautiful..

What a great way to ride around the city!

Believe it, they are not very old... I believe they were built in the 80's. Any help from viewers, let me know!!!

The UP Heritage Unit in Denver... see ya next week.
