Welcome to Antonito, Colorado and a Historical moment...

Cumbres & Toltec 484 parks side by side with San Luis & Rio Grande 1744...

I had to use my smaller digital camera, so the shots aren't as great, but I knew you would like these.. 484 and 1744 in Antonito at the Cumbres & Toltec Depot.

Here we are at the Antonito Car Repair Facility... cool name!

You are looking at two cars being worked on in the shop!

Here is the cook car with its siding stripped off for inspection.

This drop bottom car came out great, absolutely beautiful!!

It's pretty cool to see more of the construction detail in this car.

Hope you enjoyed your visit to the shop in Antonito.

The Galveston Trolley, I really enjoyed this ride..

Welcome to Chama, New Mexico... I had alot of requests so I decided to visit the Chama Shop and get some shots of 489's progress for you!!!

You are looking at the interior of 489's firebox!! You can see the new flue sheet that has been installed!

Here is look at the exterior of the boiler on the Engineers side! You can see the new Flexible staybolt caps. They look great!!!

We are on the Engineers side looking forward, you can see the work that has been done on the frame.

Here is a look at the Engineers side cylinders. Look at how shiny and smooth the interior of the Cylinder is, great work!

I just had to sneak these in real fast....

San Luis & Rio Grande 1744 crosses Highway 142 at Romeo, Colorado June 22nd 2007.

1744 made a quick station stop and continued on to La Jara..

1744 is looking and sounding great!!

And on 1744 goes.....

I will have few more shots for you soon...

A look at some of the flue's being worked on and one of the 489's axle's.

Here is inside shot of the smokebox, you can see the replaced front flue sheet.

The guys are working on the Piston Valve portion of the cylinders.

One of 489's axle's on the wheel machine, they are probably cleaning up the journals and wheel surface's.

Another shot of the Engineer cylinders.

More work being done on the firemans side cylinders.

Now that is a bit complicated....

Very Cool machine!!!

A look at the Backhead of 489, looking good!!

Another rear shot of 489's boiler... more update's to come!!!

Two of Galveston's Trolley's at a station stop, one trolley will turn to the old town section and the other will go to the hospital if I am correct.

8577 takes its train to the wye. Watching some switching in Alamosa.

1744 backs down to the wye to turn.

1744 has left the main to back into the wye.

I love this shot, came out great!

8577 has turned its train already and is heading back to the depot on the main.

8577 passes 1744...

Two SL&RG locomotive's pass in Alamosa.

Looking great, love the action in Alamosa.

1744 has backed into the wye...

Next it will pull forward and head east...

1744 has made the turn and is on the main.

Looking down the mainline..

1744 backs down the main.

Charlie rides the rear steps of 1744.

In the background is the cement plant that has become a good customer for the SL&RG.

A rainstorm rolls into Alamosa behind 1744.

Looking good Charlie.

1744 backs to the depot.

Making a pick-up on the Strand... Galveston!!!

Welcome to Santa Fe and the home of the Santa Fe Southern...

There is alot of Construction going on in the yard...

There are redoing the tracks and they look like they are adding a siding near the depot, it should allow them to turn their train..

I also like the color scheme...

The open car looks great.

The track is all ballasted and looks great....

I will have to stop in for a ride soon.

I love this car, great looking!!!

The whole train looks great... I tell you, stop in at the Santa Fe Southern.

My last shot of the Galveston Trolley, great ride.. loved the place.. see ya next week!
