South of Alamosa 7 miles... 1744 is on its way to Alamosa from a trip to Antonito.

The track climbs a small hill and makes for a great shot..

Normally 1744 burns a clean stack, but a little extra oil was added for the small climb...

here comes 1744.....

What a great looking locomotive she is...

Past me and across a private road crossing, 1744 will continue on to Alamosa.

That was a great run by!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once again, say Hi to Rosita..

People have been asking if I also photograph other things beside's trains, the answer is yes, I hope my photography is showing improvement!!           http://www.flickr.com/photos/johnisblackmustang

What a great smile!!

The other day we climbed up Cumbres and stopped at the Water spout.. What did we find??? The water cistern was completely empty, so we had to head for Los Pinos and take water there!

For some mechanical reason, the water drained out of the cistern at Cumbres, but it has since been repaired.

We had to make a very unusual east bound Los Pinos water stop.

It was a little difficult, I must admit!!!

But I hit the spot, we took water and headed for Osier.

Back on the Rio Grande Midland in Walsenburg, Colorado.. here I am running 3420 around the Seibert's live steam railroad.

July 4th and Locomotive 488 makes a stop at Sublette, New Mexico..

Old Glory flies on 488's light brackets...

Cumbres & Toltec 488 at Sublette, New Mexico.

A going away shot on the Rio Grande Midland...

Here I am again on 3420, I am pulling to a stop at the station area..

Here I am with 3420 and my friend Earl Bean...

We have stopped here with 3420 to take on water... my dad is sitting on one of the passenger cars, he had a blast riding on this railroad.

A look at one of the amazing structure's on this great railroad.

What a great shot, I loved walking around, there is so many great picture's on this live steam railroad.

Hey everybody, check out who was also running his locomotive around the Rio Grande Midland.

A look at 3420....

3420 is waiting for its next run around the railroad.

What a great locomotive...

It's beautiful... the details are amazing!!

A look into the cab of 3420... everything works.

Here is the owner and my friend Harry Bean, he was the one who so graciously trusted me with his amazing locomotive..

3420 was my first Live Steam Locomotive.. what a great machine, I loved it!!!

Another visit from a group of Motorcars arrived in Antonito...

The group was lead by John Aragon, track foreman for the SL&RG Railroad. Here he is driving the high rail truck off the end of the SL&RG rails in Antonito.

I always love the variety of Motorcars that comes with each group..

A Union Pacific motorcar on ex-Rio Grande rails that never would have been here if not for the SL&RG management.

These are beautiful machines..

It's cool to see such a wonderful collection of Motorcars just next door to the Cumbres & Toltec Depot.

I love that smaller one, great machine, the wood work is beautiful.

Now this is a highly modified yet very beautiful machine... that is cool, man!!!

Love the basic's...

Orange is a beautiful color for motorcars.

Love the Canadian Motorcar...

And here is my Great friend.... hey look thru the window, that guy is Ralph, an employee with the SL&RG.

Standing.. Earl Bean, his father Harry Bean on 3420 and Pat McCarthy on 452.. what a great bunch of guys, I was honored that they allowed me to run their locomotive's.. Thank you very much and I will see you next week!!!

And thanks to the Rio Grande Midland and its owners Mark and Melanie Seibert!
