We are in Antonito and thanks to John, the railroad has acquired two slightly used motor cars...

Now they don't look like much, but we will rebuild them in the future for use!!

Now think about it, they may look like heck, but we are doing our part to save two vintage historical motor cars from the scrape yard..

Someday they will ride the rails over the Cumbres & Toltec.

We will have to re-gauge them and well.... well we are going to have to do all kinds of stuff to them, but they will ride the rails again someday!!

Union Pacific motor cars on the Cumbres & Toltec..

The Ballast regulator is in Cumbres....

The guys are working on Tanglefoot curve and it looks great.

Check down below for a few shots of the work at Tanglefoot Curve.

Early morning Chama, New Mexico...

The crews haven't arrived yet...

487 and 488 share the morning sunlight together.

Soon 487 will make the climb to Cumbres with today's train.

Hope you like early morning in Chama.

Welcome to Cumbres Station, Colorado.

This is a great angle.. How did I get this?? There is a huge pile of ballast in the parking lot and I climb up to the top of the pile to get this shot!!!

The skies have been great over Cumbres.

In the back of the depot you can see the huge pile of ballast for use east of Cumbres.

We hope to also get started on ballasting east out of Chama.

Wild Flowers and the Depot...

I am standing in the spring drainage... pretty green grass, cool!!!

Hey check out the track at Milepost 329...

Looking west over the fill at 329.

I think the guys are doing a great job... the track looks and feels great!

Diesel 19 has just arrived in Antonito..

The entire route was sprayed for weeds once again..

Hopefully this will do the trick, we had weeds that grew back on certain sections of the railroad..

Another visit to the Santa Fe Southern...

The yard is really looking good.

These will be new crossings just south of the yard.

Good ole' 93 in Santa Fe!

I will have more photos later of the progress.

Santa Fe Southern 93.
