Welcome to the third week of October... Season's over and the winter work begins..

Passing Ronnie, Jake and 487 at Toltec Siding. We have been dumping rock between Rock and Mud Tunnels.

Locomotive 488 pauses at Sublette for water!

Tuesday the 16th and we are at Milepost 305 loading Ballast.

Cleaning the cab, keeping the dust down!!

We will be hauling Ballast rock to Milepost 315.

Good ole' 484 is doing the Ballast work today.

After loading at 305, we have to take water at Sublette and we will be on our way.

The Equipment is gathered at Sublette, for the next batch of track work to get started.

Ready to roll for Milepost 315, today we hauled 9 car loads of Ballast to Milepost 315.

Had a little trouble, had to haul MW-02 to Chama for repair.

A few different views of the Ballast being loaded at Milepost 305.

From the cab of 484.

Now from the tender...

This is what it looks like from the Doghouse.

That's me in the shot.

Locomotive 484 has arrived at the Dump spot and we are going to dump some Ballast.

Ready to Haul Matilda to Chama, she had some mechanical problems and will be worked on!

A few different views at loading Ballast.

Here is a culvert, a ballast car and 484...

Taking water a second time at Sublette.

Locomotive 484 did alot of pushing today!!

Now they do look a little beat up, but they work great!! The tail of the Ballast train and the end of the ballast for this week!!

Two Caboose's are in Antonito, they will be going thru our shop this winter, they will receive complete mechanical  inspections. We will check the brakes and rigging and clean the brake cylinders and clean and replace the retainers if necessary. We may need to change the wheels if possible also!!!

Here I am back on the Fall Freight Special.

We are stopped for a photo run.

Locomotive 488 is looking great...

How about this one... looks old, that's exactly what we were looking for when we set up this train.

Locomotive 488 sits on a section of repaired track near Tanglefoot Curve.

I love how the Ballast looks under 488.

This shot could have been taken in the past, except for the Ballast.

I thought the Caboose's looked great together..

The rebuild on this caboose was spectacular.

I hope you like these shots.

See ya next week....
