RGX 2012 - Trip Report
September 20 - September 28
Day 7 - Wednesday, September 26
Some fine tuning was done this day on the cameras and mesh network. I set up a method to show the Friends leadership what we had accomplished. I also recorded the morning departure and put the *video on YouTube for the leadership. There was a lot of excitement!
*In the video, you can see me in the shot from the north camera. If you'll notice, I'm talking on a cell phone. My Dad had just called to wish me a happy birthday. Not only did he get to hear the train leaving, but I recorded the whole event with the new cameras. Pretty neat!

By day's end, all that was left to do was permanently run power to the cameras through the conduits that Marshall Smith mounted over the summer. Running the power was a one-man job and John Engs was the only one among us qualified to do it. So, this gave me an unexpected free day on Thursday! Hmm... what should I do... |
