The San Luis Valley's perfect skies reflect on 5 mile creek...

The New Mexico based Fire Patrol rounds the Upper loop of Tanglefoot Curve as Train 2 rides on the lower loop headed for Osier, Co.

Robert Pacheco fills in for Bobby and rides the Fire Patrol out of Chama.

Robert Pacheco at the controls... must be kinda lonely riding this all day by yourself.. I would think!

Okay, here are a few more photo's of D&RGW Locomotive 169's restoration. you are looking at picture's of the Tenders tank being constructed.

Here is a side view of the right side of the Tank.

You are looking in to the top of the Tank and you can see the sheets of metal going left to right, those will be the Baffle's and internal supports of the tank.

Here is the Top Sheet of the Tank and you can also see the manhole attachment and door..these are where you feed water from the Tanks or Water Spouts into the tender.

This Picture may be a little big, but anyway here is the Tender Tank from the Front, you are looking into the Coal Bunker.

Here is Water Valve for the Tender, this is where water will be supplied from the Tender to the Locomotive. Here is a wonderful Group of People I was honored to meet, Here is Julia and Peter Usher.. and Letty and Letitia Hill... in front of Locomotive 487 in Chama. Letitia is the Wife of Ian Hill, a Member of the Rock Band "Judas Priest", I was truly honored to meet her and her Family and Friends.

Here is a Automobile that is at home among the old Steam Locomotive's.

Here is the Skeleton of Caboose 05635.. it is being rebuilt by the volunteers.

Helper 484 is on the Main Line, At the moment the Caboose is just a skeleton, I will keep taking picture's to update you on more details.

Here is a look at that cars Temperature Gauge.. its a Beautiful Thing.

Here is Helper 484 turning on the Wye at Cumbres, the Locomotive actually has to back into the shed just a little to clear the switch.

With the Switch thrown, Locomotive 484 comes forward onto the West Leg of the Wye.

Locomotive 487 and Train 216 hold the Main at Cumbres while the Crews do their Brake-test.

Motor-Car 103 holds on the Siding waiting for clearance to depart westbound.

Once Locomotive 487 and Train 216 depart Cumbres, Helper 484 will depart for Chama and behind Motor-car 103 will depart Cumbres... the Crew was planning on working a little on Windy Point.

You can see, the supports for the Floor have been installed.

The Car Inspectors House is Open and work is going at a very Fast pace to install floors.

I have had a few Requests to include a few Picture's of myself on the Web-site so I put a self Portrait on the Site just for you. I took this Picture of myself one early Morning before I shaved.... Oh wait, wait... Sorry, I made a mistake here, this is Picture of a Ostrich that lives at the Colorado Alligator Farm here in the San Luis Valley. I couldn't tell the difference when I was uploading the Picture's.

The Alligator Farm was initially a Fish Farm growing Tilapia Fish for Restaurants, the Alligators were brought in to dispose of the waste and have since become a big Attraction.

You are looking at the inside of Caboose 0579 at Antonito, the Restoration is near completion and the Caboose is absolutely Beautiful, what a Great Job these Gentleman have done.

You are looking into the Cupola of the Caboose.

Here is dedicated Volunteer Bill Kepner, Bill has been with the Project since the beginning. Bill is doing a little Green Painting on the interior of Caboose 0579.

On this Day Bill was tying up a few loose ends to finish up the project for this Year.

This is the second set of Trucks installed on Caboose 0579, now both sets are under the caboose.

Ray Martinez at the Controls of Motor-Car 103, you may remember Ray, he was one of the 7 Employee's who rebuilt Locomotive 487 in Antonito.

Here I am riding a Empty Train of Pipe Gondolas into Chama, if it wasn't for the Modern Cars parked along the Tracks... this could easily be a scene out of the past.

After Taking so many Pictures of myself and the rest of my Fellow Scrappy Railroaders, it is Refreshing to capture a Beautiful Young Ladies Smile.. Here is Colleen Wilson from Clovis, California hard at work applying Grout to the Brick-work on the Oil House. Thanks Colleen!!!

This is the New 488 Steam Dome cap.. it is having its Safety Valve Holes Drilled into it.

Here is the Backhead of 488, the Guys are putting on the Water-glasses and Tri-cock assembly in preparation for the Hydro-test.

Steve is working on the New Steam Dome Cap for 488, he is making the holes that will become the mounts for the safety Valves.
