Here is my dad and some Ladies of Questionable Morals, actually these ladies are Members of the "Cripple Creek Players" They are a Melodrama and Musical Revue Group and perform in the Historic "Butte Opera House" Check out.. www.cripplecreekplayers.com for more info. Well the other Day I made a Trip to Cripple Creek... My Brother had entered a Tattoo Competition, my Brother has some amazing Tattoo's on his arms.. and I was honored to be by his side when he showed his work to all the contestants and judge's.. I also took the opportunity to Visit the Cripple Creek & Victor Narrow Gauge Railroad.

Locomotive Number 1, is a Compound Mallet, it was built by Orenstein & Koppel in Germany in 1902, it was originally used in Avalos Zacetacus, Mexico to hail Zinc and Lead in the mines.

Number 1 is a Beautiful Locomotive, you all have to visit the Cripple Creek & Victor Railroad, it is a Magical Place..

Here is a good look at Number 1's Front Driver Wheels and Valve Gear and the rear Cylinders.

A look at Number 1's Cab.

Here is Number 1's Front end.

Here is full view of Number 1, it undergoing a few repairs and will soon be back on the line.

A close look at Number 1's Front Cylinders.

Here is the Original Cripple Creek Depot, it is a Beautiful Structure.

A look at a Switch Stand in Cripple Creek.

Here the Main Line running out of Cripple Creek. it is a Beautiful example of 2 Foot Gauge Railroading.

This appears to be a Underground Locomotive.

Here is another Piece of Railroad machinery, I can't guess what it is or what it was used for.

Here's my Big Brother, you can see one of His Tattoo's.

Here are 6 buckets of Coal ready to refuel a Locomotive. In the background is number 1 and a few extra Passenger Cars.

Here is Dad in front of Number 1.

Here is a shot of Number 1's Front End.

A Young lady from Cripple Creek..

Here is a look at Number 1's Cab, you can the Johnson bar and Throttle... there is Lubricator up top and the Firedoor and what appears to be a Water Glass on the left.

What a Smile..

This was taken in front of the Cripple Creek Emergency Service's.

Here is a used set of Wheels, they are 2 foot Gauge, I am curious as to where they get new Wheels..

These are the Rear Driver Wheels and Cylinders on Number 4.

Here is Cripple Creek & Victor Number 4, This is a Super-Heated Meyer Type Mallet, it was built by "Bagnall" in England in 1947. It weighs in at 26 tons and was used initially at a South African Plantation.

Here is the Front Drive Wheels, I am pretty sure that device right above and between the driver wheels is where, when the Front Frame pivots the slide travels left to right to support the Boiler.

You are looking at the Rear set of Cylinders on Number 1.

Here is Dad standing next to Number 1.

Here is number 1's front Cylinders, you can see the Crosshead uses only One Crosshead Guide and the Valve has no Guides at all allowing for Flexibility in motion.

Here is Number 1's front Driver Wheels, you can see the Crosshead and Valve gear, you can see the eccentric crank and how it drives the Valve's,

Here is Number 3 backing the Train into Station in Cripple Creek.

Locomotive Number 3 had a 2-Car Train the Day I was there and I am pretty sure this is standard arrangement.

The Engineer watches Closely as he Guides Number 3 in for a smooth stop, a very smooth stop I might add.

The Engineer has to back into station..

The Engineer preps his Locomotive for another Run.

Ole' Number 3 sits quietly between Trips to Victor.

Number 3 sits in the Cripple Creek sun.. Number 3 is a 0-4-0 type Locomotive built by H.K. Porter in Pittsburgh, Pa in 1927.

Number 3 sits waiting for the Passengers to Board.

Well I have to say Goodbye to Number 3, I hoped you enjoyed my little Visit away...If you would like more info on this amazing 2-foot Gauge Railroad in a Breathtaking and Beautiful Area of Colorado...Call: 719-689-2640 or Visit their website at:   WWW.CRIPPLECREEKRAILROAD.COM  Thank you for visiting and I will have a few shots from the Santa Fe Southern next week, until then Take Care..
