March 9th 2004, Joseph rolling the Flues... Joseph is a Experienced M.O.W. Employee but now he is learning a whole new Field of work and becoming quite a Good Boiler Worker..

This is 487's Smokebox.. March 9th 2004 and the flues are going in.. in the foreground you can see the Air-rachet and the rolling device.. joe has been rolling the Flues!!

Here is 484's right side, you can see the extensive work that has been completed on the firebox.. March 9th 2004.

Locomotive 484's right side... you can see the work done to the Expansion Link, they are in the process of timing the Locomotive. March 9th 2004.

In this Picture you can see Locomotive 484's main crank pin and main rod and the eccentric crank...

You are looking at 484's cyclinders... the Power Piston has been capped and the top Piston or piston valve is still open! March 9th 2004.

Doesn't that look Great... Everybody in the Antonito Shop was involved in this project.. and we are pleased with the end result, we hope you are too...

This is a little earlier, Ray is applying the Logo to the 488's tender...

Car 505 scrapped, sanded, and prepped for new paint, we will first apply a layer of linseed oil, then we will apply the Green Paint.

Another view of 505, ready for paint..    oh and I will take this time to answer a much requested question... The Antonito Shop consists of 8 employee's: Marvin, Teresa, Ronnie, Ray, Sam, Marvin V, Myself carlos and Joseph.. and we are rebuilding or servicing all 19 Passenger Cars and the 2 rider Gondolas, we are doing maintenance on the Tamper, we are working on 3 tenders and locomotive 487.

March 10th 2004, this is Fish-eye photo taken in the Boiler of 487.. the picture was lit with only a single light outside in the smokebox! Look towards the rear and you can see a few holes left in the flue sheet that still need flues to be added.

Another of those weird Pictures... these are things or sights of the Boiler that I get to see everyday, this is why I am so happy to have this web-site.. I can share these sights with you out there in Internet Land!!!

A few more Flues and this sight will be gone...

The flues needed to be cut to size, after measuring the length we had to cut the flues and this is how we did it... by hand with a big Pipe-cutter. March 11th 2004.

Here's Joe working on the Flues, to be honest we didn't want to mess up so we cut the Flues a little long to avoid messing one up.. Joe is grinding the flues to size!!! March 11th 2004.

In this Picture, you can see 487's front flue sheet, all the flues have been put in place and we are now starting to roll them into place..
