On thursday the 29th, Bunning Transfer Trucking Company brought the
Tender of Colorado & Southern #9 into the Antonito Railroad Yard..
it was probably the first time in History a Colorado & Southern
piece of Equipment had ever seen the sun in the Great San Luis
Valley!! |

Under the watchful eye of Marvin Casias and the excellent Driving of
the Truck Driver... Colorado & Southern Tender #9 is backed into
Track One.. |
|
The Rails on the Truck Trailer and the Rails on Track one come
together and for the First time in History a Colorado and Southern
Tender will touch the Rails of the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic
Railroad. Thursday April 29th 2004 becomes a new day in the History
of this Locomotive Tender #9. |

With Marvin at Diesel 19's controls and using Tender 487 "freshly
painted" as a Idle car... Colorado & Southern Tender #9 is
pulled onto C&T Rails!! |

from Georgetown, He was in charge of a Priceless piece of Railroad
History and he delivered right on schedule... Everybody, give that

Engineer Jeremy Garcia and His Father-in-law Mr. Eyman work at
installing a Water Heater in the Antonito.. This will help us
Greatly with our Hydro tests.. Thank You Guys... |

Tender 489 waits for it's Overhaul and the Cab of 487 waits to be
mounted on Locomotive 487, we will finish painting on the
Locomotive!! This Friday the 30th and a little snow continue's to
fall on Antonito. |

Here is my Aunt Genevieve and my Mom Cousuelo, they both had the
Opportunity to live in the section Houses at Sublette, Osier,
Cumbres, and Arboles... while My Grandfather Selso worked on the MOW
Gang.. My Grandfather Retired in 1974 and enjoyed his retirement
till the year 2000 when he passed away.. Aunt Genevieve was the
First Railroad Engineer in the Family during her employment with a
Mining Company.. and now works in The National Laboratories in Los
Alamos. They are both going to kill me for putting this picture on
the Internet. |

The Bell Tower at the Santaurio De Chimayo east of Espanola,
Nueva Mexico... Well that is all for this week, I hope everybody is
enjoying the web-site, thank you all for the compliments and well
wishes.. Locomotive #9 will be in this week and 487 will gets its
Hydro test this week, i'll be there to get the photo's!
