Thanks to Dean Again, here is G-Scale Rio Grande 361 rolling a few Refrigerator Cars along the line.. ain't those Models just Gorgeous. Thanks Dean.

Diesel 19 sits at the East Portal of Mud Tunnel, the work at Mud Tunnel is complete except for Clean-up. So Diesel 19 went in to remove the supplies.

2 MOW Motor Cars sit at Mud Tunnel.

You are looking at some of the work done in the tunnel.

Beams were placed at the Bottom of the Timber supports and secured to keep the Timbers from moving outward.

You can see the Bottom timbers and the securing Bolts.

One of the Guys left his name for History's sake.

The Motor-Cars in the Very Bright Morning Sun.

Cement laid at the bottom helps hold things in place.

More Pics of the Timber work done in the Tunnel.

Here you can see the Timbers bolted to the Support Timbers.

Near the West Portal.

More of the Timbers.

These are near the East Portal.

The Metal Lining at the East Portal.

You can see the Rail laid to support the Lining, don't ask me how they got that up there.

Here is the East Portal... you can see the extra timbers and the Bolts drilled into the walls.

Welcome to the Rio Grande Zoo in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I took a little side Trip down South. Ain't it Pretty, I love those Flamingo's.

Look at the Polar Bears, It was hot that day in Albuquerque... kinda wanted to jump in the cool water with them...

And the Giraffe's,

The Zoo is Beautiful and they will have a Train Soon... I think they are working on it... The Tracks circle the Park and they appear to be building a Shop for the Trains. I am Hopeful... I love to Ride Trains at Parks and Zoo's..

Now here we are at the Sandia Peak Tramway.. This is the World's Longest Passenger Tramway, The Sandia Tramway was built By Bell Engineering of Lucerne, Switzerland and was Constructed between 1964-1966 at a cost of 2 Million Dollars. This is a Double Reversible Passenger Aerial Tramway.

The Red Tram begins its climb to the top of Sandia Peak and at the same time it's Opposite the Blue Tram begins it's descent.

Climbing to Tower One.

Here's my Sweet Wonderful Friend and Traveling Partner Erika, Most Wonderful of Friends... Happiest of Partners, Baker of the Best Dang Peanut Butter Cookies in the World..

The Blue Tram coming down from the Summit.

The Blue Tram comes into the Station, The Total Horizontal Length is 2.7 Miles and Rises a total of 3,819 Vertical feet. The Elevation at the Summit is 10, 378 feet above Sea-Level and the Base Terminal sits at a Elevation of 6,559 feet. Amazingly the ride to the Summit takes 14 minute's at a speed of about 13.6 Mph. And, if you look below, thats actually a Water Tank under the Tram, it holds 1,000 Gallons of Water, for the Summit.

The MOW Guys are loading up for the Trip Out.

The Flat Cars loaded with supplies.

There's the Grout machine and left-over timbers and Hose's and Bolts and more.

Everything's loaded up and we are moving out.

Diesel 19 leaving Mud Tunnel Behind.

Four flat cars move the equipment out.

The Work Train drops me off at Sublette and Marvin and Rudy prepare to head to Antonito.

The Work Train is rolling East.

The Tail end of the Work Train.

Locomotive 484 is Steaming up the Chama Morning.

Locomotive 484 pulls Train 2 into position to load the Passengers.

Soni is at the Throttle this Morning.

The Mornings have been a little Cold lately...

Okay, don't get scared... this is 488.. a FEW Weak Spots were found on 488's Firebox, so the crew had to back track and do some more Repairs on 488.

Now I must admit, this is taking some time, the work on 487 was tough this Winter.. But it was worth it, the 487 is Steaming better than it ever has. The Tender Work on 484 was also difficult, but again it rides very well. The Crew In Chama went thru Heck to Get Locomotive 484 ready, but again it was worth it.. Now I have been in Engine Service for 11 years now and with the Railroad for 16... 487 and 484 are in better shape than they have been in a Long time, trust me... The 484 is simply a Amazing Locomotive and 487 steams like a Nuclear Reactor in Hell.. excuse my language. This work takes time, but the end product will be Three Locomotives that will carry this Railroad Safely into the future.. When the Time comes, 488 will Steam out of the Chama Shop and began her work again on the C&T, but for now we will all have to wait a little while.

What you looking at is the Engineer's side of 488's Firebox.. you can see how closely this repair resembles 487's repair.

This is the Fireman's Side of the Firebox.

You are looking toward the Rear of the Firebox in 488's Firebox. You can see the Holes where the new Staybolts will be applied after the new sheet is installed and welded in place.

Looking toward the Rear on the Engineer's side.

This Seems to be a area of wear.. it might be the Cinders blowing away from the Fire that seems to wear down the Sheet under the door.

You can see closely the Strip removed under the Door.

The remaining staybolts can be seen and still need to be removed.

The rough end of the Staybolt is due to the Cutting torch.

Here is the Engineers side of the Firebox Flue Sheet.. the Beading work the guys did on the tube's is Beautiful...

Now I can say Beautiful, because I know how hard the work is and they did a Great Job.
