For the first time I was able to make TWO trips to Chama in the same year. Special thanks to God for providing me with a job that allows me to do this and a wife understanding enough to indulge me!
As it happened, I was able to be in Chama on both the Opening and Closing Days of the 2009 season. Gotta tell ya, that's pretty cool! Here is my Trip Report broken up by day. |

Much to my surprise, my beautiful and ever-so-patient wife approved my crazy idea to spend 4 days travelling to and exploring the Cumbres & Toltec. The trip was approximately 88 hours in length, 30 of which was the drive to and from Chama. This was my first trip for the Opening Day ceremonies and it was WELL worth the drive.
